Sati has been Bellydancing for five years on and off, out of a need to connect with her
feminine strengths. Inspired by the great Tribal Fusion dancers, then studying Egyptian style under her first teacher here in Port Macquarie, Pam Johnson. She has discovered the immense power of Bellydance to unlock parts of the inner self that she never knew existed. Sati has danced with a small troupe of women that has given her rich experience with performance, improvisation and dressing in costumes. They performed at various local events around the Mid North Coast and in Sydney. She ran a short workshop at the Rabbits Eat Lettuce festival in 2014 and Women's Festival at the Aboriginal Land Council here in Port Macquarie. This workshop will be a fun beginner level covering of some simple and beautiful moves we can all do by moving different hips, chest and arms. For this hour and a half workshop, she will share with you the deep benefits of Bellydance for the body, mind and spirit. Bellydancing has the power to connect us to our inner dancer, the free spirited goddess within us all, and it’s through OUR movements, we come to nestle in the movements of the universe. |
